Accomodation

If they wish, Students are free to arrange their own accommodation while studying at the London School of Commerce (LSC), and LSC does provide accommodation options and support.

Care is taken to meet the requirements of all students. The college has an associated accommodation provider and comprehensive advice will be given. Approved properties are inspected and regularly monitored to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

All recommended student houses and accommodation are in residential areas of South London with easy access to the School. Approximate travelling time is 30-45 minutes direct into London Bridge, the average commute time within London.

Please contact the college if you would like to take advantage of the accommodation services we provide.

The following examples of available accommodation are given as a guide only:

Homestay - (Cost: £100-£150 per week)

Homestay is a popular choice for students on first arrival in London. Our homestay providers are very friendly and can help you orientate yourself. Homestay is suitable for students who want a lot of contact with their host. You will have a single or shared study bedroom and shared washing facilities. Homestay includes bed, breakfast and main evening meal and full meals at weekends. You will also have laundry facilities, normally once a week although there may be a small charge for this. The price includes all bills, but bear in mind that you are living in someone else's home and you should respect their rules.

Single room - £110 - £150
Shared room - £90 - £120

Shared student flats and houses

Shared student flats and houses are suitable for students who want more independence. You will have a single or shared study bedroom with shared cooking and washing facilities. Bedding packs are available for purchase. These include a new duvet, pillow, sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase. There will often be a communal living area but not always. Many of our student houses and flats have internet access and student rooms will have a study area comprising of a study table and a chair. You will be entirely independent, cooking and cleaning for yourself. You will normally be sharing with other students from your school, but you can request to stay with friends. The price includes all bills (up to a maximum amount per student).

Price (per week)

Single room - £75 - £100
Shared room - £55 - £75

Other Costs: Bedding pack - £50
Tenancy Agreement - £35

Private Lodgings

This is a similar to homestay, but suitable for students who wish to be even more independent. You will have a single or shared study bedroom and shared washing facilities. Meals will not be provided but you will have access to kitchen facilities. The accommodation provider may live in the home with their family, as may other students. You may have laundry facilities, normally once a week although there may be a small charge for this. The price includes all bills but bear in mind that you are living in someone else's home and you should respect their rules.

Price (per week)

Single room - £75 - £95
Shared room - £65 - £85

Airport Pickup

The College also operates an Airport Pick-up service. We do advise students to use this service as the driver will take you direct to your accommodation and make sure that you have access. If you wish to use the pick-up service, please make your flight details available to us as soon as they are confirmed. While there is a £55 for this service, this is cheaper than hiring a standard London black cab from the Airport.
