The principal aims of the Certificate in Higher Education Public Health are to: The programme will be delivered at London School of Commerce, an associate college of Canterbury Christ Church University. The London campus is centrally located and all the prime attractions in London are in close proximity to the campus. Campus buildings are located in the London Bridge area, within easy reach of British Rail and Underground stations. The Birmingham campus is also centrally located and easily accessible from each of Moor Street, New Street and Snow Hill stations. Standard entry tariff, i.e. 112 UCAS point for Cert HE leading to BSc (Hons) Public Health, BSc (Hons) Health & Lifestyle Science, BSc (Hons) Mental Health & Wellbeing. 112 UCAS points or A-level BBC & (5 GCSEs Grade 4/C or above including English, Maths and Science) or equivalence will be required for students who apply to Cert HE leading to the BSc (Hons) Public Health and Business Management route, as these students are expected to be able to undertake learning alongside students who meet the entry requirements for those BSc Business Management. Overview Aims
Provide a baseline learning experience which introduces students to the main functional areas of public health in the healthcare sector.
Provide an entry route to the Level 5 of a BSc (Hons) degree programmes in Public Health for for those students who successfully complete the Cert HE.
Enable graduates to develop the necessary range of generic (transferable), cognitive, intellectual, personal and interpersonal skills required for effective undergraduate study and future vocational needs.
